Rotoscope

 

This assignment was definitely the most challenging one so far, and I had a hard time with how time consuming it was. I don't think I will be doing another one ever again. Although it wasn't the most enjoyable for me, it was very interesting to see a method of animation, and the things it can be used for. I hit many bumps in the road for this assignment and my final outcome is far from perfect. Despite this, the finished product was fun to watch!

Complex Illustration

 This assignment was by far the most challenging using illustrator, and I think it was a good way to exercise our knowledge while using the software. My outcome is definitely not perfect, but nonetheless I do feel like I have improved my abilities in illustrator. I chose to recreate my favorite picture of my best friend from high school, because it always makes me smile when I see it. While I struggled throughout the process of this assignment, I think it was a great way to improve my skills. My friend Macy got a good laugh from it too!

Lyrical Poster

  For my lyrical poster, I was inspired by Taylor Swift's song, "Karma." This is my favorite song on the album, so I tried to incorporate things she describes in the lyrics for my poster. I also wanted to make it a little more personal to me, so I added in a photo of my own cat, Trouble. This was a really fun project because I love music, and I think this was a great way to make a visual piece to correspond with one of my favorite songs. Photoshop has been a really great experience so far, and I definitely enjoyed working with it for this project.
